Everyone knows of the work of Saint Francis Hospice in Raheny or has had first hand experience of their loving care. Howth/Sutton Lions normally run church gate collections to help fund the Hospice but due to Covid-19 we have not been able to do this since February of 2019. This year we decided to have a walk to try and make up for this loss.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, we decided to offer two options for our walk in aid of Saint Francis Hospice Raheny. On Saturday 27th November we had a good turnout and walked from the Marine Hotel to the bottom of Watermill Road. Many others opted to walk their own routes due to Covid-19 concerns.
The club would like to thank all those who walked and also all those who sponsored the walkers.
